Wandering in the playground watching babies and kids playing here and there, I noticed that several mothers were showing their worries about how the shape of their babies legs are.
“My baby’s legs are arched” they were saying.
The truth is that most babies are born with bowed legs due to their position inside the womb. These legs will remain bowed for a little time. By the age of 18 to 24 months, the bow should decrease and the legs alignment become better. It is not until your baby reaches 3 to 4 years of age for his legs to become well aligned, and by the age of 5 to 6 years the legs will become aligned ‘the adult way’.
Rarely the legs keep a little bow to them, this condition might be linked to Vitamin D deficiency. So make sure your baby gets enough Vitamin D from dairy food rich in both Vitamin D & Calcium and from the sun.
Good Luck!
