3 Reasons why you might have Under-Eye-Bags!!!

Have you ever woke up on the wrong side of the bed? Feeling just horrible: Hair puffed, too tired to even pick what to wear, make-up looking weird, bags under your eyes? Here is what you need to know about this latter. These bags can be caused by several factors. Some might be even surprising for you!

  1. Hay fever caused by allergies. Hay fever can be treated by using over-the-counter allergy medications. Check with your doctor regarding the best option for you.
  2. Sleeping positions. Believe it or not, sleeping in different positions might lead to differences on gravity: sleeping on your side or stomach might encourage fluids to accumulate under your eyes leading to pouches. It is recommended to sleep on your back or elevate your head using pillows to ease pouches below your eyes.
  3. Everyday habits. Rubbing your eyes continuously, sleeping with your make-up on, excessive alcohol drinking can lead to bags under the eyes. When you keep your make up overnight, your eyes might become irritated leading to fluids retention in the form of these bags. Heavy alcohol intake leads to dehydration, which makes the skin around the eye very sensitive causing these pouches.

Eye-bags are normally not linked to any health condition; however, if they appear with no symptoms of allergies, sinuses, or cold & they don’t calm down after trying the above-mentioned soothing methods; then they might be linked to kidney or thyroid problems. It would be wise to check with your doctor.
